SMOKED SALMON AND SHEEP CHEESE SANDWICH FROM ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE

PREPARATION:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 slices multigrain loaf 3.81 cm
    (1 ½ in.) thick
  • Vegetable oil
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) capers
  • Tzatziki
  • Leaf lettuce
  • 4 slices Allegretto sheep’s milk cheese
  • 8 slices smoked salmon
  • Red onion, sliced in rings

 

PREPARATION:

In a skillet, heat the oil to medium-high and fry the capers for about 2 minutes. Cut each slice in half lengthwise (but not all the way through) and spread tzatziki on the insides. Add leaves of lettuce, followed by the cheese, smoked salmon and red onion, then top with fried capers.
